When I was in grade 6, we were called to make essays in school with a topic. Me and my friend went and made our essays. They explained to us that they were needing journalists for the journalism competition. After that, me and my friends went to go out and have fun because we haven’t seen each other for a while.
After a week, we received text messages from the teachers. I found out that I was added into Editorial Filipino. I was excited and nervous at the same time because it was my first time. I was glad that there were coaches to teach us more in journalism.
We were practicing and practicing so that we’ll win in the competition. I was very nervous for my first day was also excited. I met my coach and he taught me all about writing in Editorial Filipino.
I wasn’t really proud of my first output but my coach taught me more for me to improve. After weeks of practicing I know what to do in writing editorial journalism. I researched about the latest news so that I could study them.
Finally, it was the journalism contest. I was really nervous because I was scared of disappointing my coach and my family. Our topic was about teenage kids being addicted to online games.
I forgot to research about this but I still tried my best. I was hoping to get champion but I got 1st place. I was disappointed for not reaching champion but I was still happy and grateful for what I got.
